100 cards in 100 days // DAY 40: creativity

Hi all! Happy Monday! So I made this one after seeing this quote on a webpage--
"Creativity is a combination of discipline and childlike spirit." ~Robert Greene
I love this quote just because of how it ties in to everything I've been reading about the sweet spot for creativity and complete brain involvement, and how I definitely want my later years to go. Just last night I was in the hospital visiting my grandmother. Though she was all tangled up in tubes and on the hospital bed, exhausted after her surgery, all she could seem to do was make jokes about how her pastime seems to be "throwing herself down outside when she's tending the roses". Being able to conjure up humor at any time and laugh at yourself, I think, is a huge component of Greene's perception of "childlike spirit". If there's anything I've learned from doing this project so far, it's that anything is possible on paper. You can be ridiculous and put the lamest puns down, but as long as you're having fun creating? That's all that matters. Go harness some childlike spirit today!

White card stock, felt pen, sharpie, washi tape by Little Craft Co (@heylittlecraftco on insta-- and PSSST by the way! I've got word they're releasing new washi tapes and I'm so excited!!), wise words from Roberth Greene
